Start the Day With Me!
Hi, everyone! Spend the morning with me as a Barre instructor! My name is Ava Smith, and outside of being a member of ADPi, I also teach a Barre class at the RAC here at Georgia Southern University. I love teaching Barre at the RAC because I get to share my love for working out with others! Last year was my first year at Georgia Southern and coming to GroupFit classes at the RAC was the consistency in my routine that I needed while going through so much change.
Now, let’s get this day started!
5:30 AM
Good morning! First up is making my bed, then skin-care!
6:00 AM
Quick walk and devo! Getting sunlight first thing in the morning has been such a game-changer for me. My daily morning walks are a great way for me to clear my mind before the busy day ahead. Starting my mornings off with time with the Lord is also key for a great day! I find that if I start my day off with scripture that I am more patient, joyful, and present throughout my whole day!
7:00 AM
Time to workout! I instruct Barre at the RAC every Monday at 7AM. Barre is a mix of movements from ballet, yoga, and pilates to build strength, flexibility and agility in those muscles you don't hit in regular workouts! Getting up and coming to a group workout is the perfect way to start your week! Seeing my sorority sisters encourage me and meeting new friends through teaching class is my favorite part about the job!
Thank you for joining me through my morning routine!
