Heaven on Earth: Passion 2025 Recap with Mallory Wallis

At the start of every new year for the past three years, my greatest joy has been getting to begin my year at Passion Conference. This experience is the closest thing to heaven I believe I will experience while on earth. Everyone knows that 20,000 people is a lot but being in a stadium with 20,000 people jumping, dancing, and worshipping at the top of their lungs in itself is truly life changing.

Now that I am attending Passion Conference as a college student, I have a completely different take away from the sermons and it is such a beautiful change in perspective. This year I am leaving with a powerful mindset. 

As day two began, we were hit with an extremely heavy message from Sadie Huff. Sadie explained that it is “one thing to be at Passion but it is another thing to go back to your campus and shine God’s light”. Sadie’s sermon moved me and thousands of other college students because we may not realize how much influence we can have even at a young age where we feel like we may have no voice on a large campus. 

The most powerful prayer that we can pray is “God I want you here”. God will come where he is wanted therefore as I am home from Passion 2025, I am compelled to pray for God to move powerfully on our campus, in Greek life, in our families, in our churches, etc. 

I thank God every year for the breath of fresh air that Passion blesses me with every new year, but this year I thank God for the change in my heart posture that He has presented me with.
