My Forever Girls
Some may not know that I transferred to Georgia Southern, Fall of my sophomore year. I pledged ADPI at Georgia College, but the distance was too much for me, so I moved closer to home. I loved ADPI and knew that I wanted to re-affiliate at Georgia Southern, but I only knew a few girls who were members of Epsilon Pi. As time was drawing close to my new beginning, I felt the nerves of starting over. I was scared to walk into a new chapter of 200+ girls that I had never met before. “What if they don’t like me? What if I just don’t fit in?” Thoughts like these rolled through my mind until the day I found my girls.
Shannon and Natalie,
My heart is so full. Since our first conversation, Epsilon Pi has felt like home. I don’t know how I’ve gone 19 years without you two. You brought so much joy and happiness into my life when I needed it most. This last year has been one of the best, and I am so thankful for the countless memories we’ve already made. We’ve laughed together, cried together, and laughed until we cried together. You two are the definition of a forever friend. No matter where life takes us, I know that we will always find our way back to each other. I owe it all to sweet Alpha Delt for bringing me to you. Thank you for taking the “new girl” under your wing. God knew I needed the two of you.
I love you,
Aubrey Ray Sheffield
